KBRN, Ende: The Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena, received a visit from the delegation of Limes Renewable Energy Italy. The meeting took place in the Governor’s Office on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
The purpose of Limes Renewable Energy Italy’s visit to the Provincial Government of NTT was to discuss investment plans in the renewable energy sector, particularly solar energy. The planned project development location is in Raknamo, Kupang Regency.
Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena welcomed the investment plan and expressed the regional government’s readiness to provide support. According to him, any form of investment aimed at regional development should be encouraged.
Governor Melki emphasized that the solar energy development project must bring positive impacts both to the community and the region. In addition, environmental sustainability is a key concern in implementing this project.
“For the good and future of the region, we as the regional government will certainly provide support. What’s important is that the project to develop this potential brings impact to the regional government and the community, pays attention to the surrounding environmental sustainability, and includes CSR for the empowerment of the local community. All of this must be well-regulated,” said Melki Laka Lena.
During the meeting, the Governor was accompanied by the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development, Rita Wuisan, as well as the Head of the Regional Revenue and Asset Agency, Alexon Lumba.
